I started attending Jacky’s salsa classes last year. I had never salsa’d in my life so it was going to be something new and totally different for me. I am now attending the advanced course, which tells you somthing – I love it! It is a great way to unwind from a busy week plus it is really social ( I have met some really amazing and wonderful people through the class) Jacky is a wonderful teacher. She explains the movements and steps in a step by step manner which means that everyone can understand. The thing that keeps me going back – it is fun, relaxed and entertaining. I first came to Humphreys Studio less than 2years ago to learn Salsa. I was new to WA and needed an excuse to meet people and get some exercise. Other than a few years of ballet as a child I had no previous dance experience and was more than a little hesitant to come and give it a go on my own. Luckily, Jacky talked me into it and now I practically live in the studio! In less than 2 years I have gone onto enrol in Modern, Latin, Argentine Tango and of course Salsa classes. I am enrolled in medal classes, performed in a Salsa floorshow and have just started competing in ballroom competitions! What can I say, it becomes addictive! More than that, I have met some amazing people. The teachers are fantastic and I have improved so much more than I would have thought possible. I recommend everybody interested in dancing to give Humprhey’s a go, you never know what you can go on to achieve!
